Meet our Members, Tony & Kimberly

Updated: Dec 10

Tony and Kimberly Wonders, celebrating 36 years of marriage, share a partnership built on shared experiences, hard work, and a love for adventure. Tony, is a retired truck driver from Ralphs Grocery Company and continues to serve as a seasonal employee with San Bernardino County, where he operates heavy equipment. His role, which typically spans from the end of November through mid-May, involves clearing roads during San Bernardino County's notoriously challenging winter weather for Southern Californians, who are much more accustomed to temperate weather. Despite the often harsh conditions, Tony is dedicated to ensuring the roads remain accessible.

Kimberly, a devoted homemaker, minister, and published author has played an essential role in their life together, supporting Tony’s work while also contributing to their shared adventures. Her ministry work and writings reflect her deep spiritual nature, which has been a guiding force in their family life and community involvement. Together, they've traveled to many places in their RV, a hobby Tony cherishes from his childhood. Growing up near South LA, Tony fondly remembers the agricultural landscape around 122nd and Wall Streets long before the area became urbanized. He was an active member of the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Explorers, which introduced him to a love for the outdoors and camaraderie with friends.

Kimberly, originally from Chicago, moved to Southern California in 1980. Her spiritual nature and commitment to service have greatly enriched their lives. Tony often leads prayers before meals and offers heartfelt prayers on Sunday mornings, bringing a sense of peace and unity to family gatherings. Kimberly, too, has served her community in profound ways, once working for three years as a chaplain for the Inglewood Police Department. Her work as a minister and author further exemplifies her dedication to uplifting and inspiring those around her.

Throughout their marriage, Tony and Kimberly have always put family and faith at the forefront. Whether they're relaxing on a trip with the Cruisers or offering support to others through prayer, their deep connection to each other and their community remains steadfast. Their journey is a testament to a life well-lived, full of service, adventure, and devotion.
